Water of Leith Case Study.png

Water of Leith

KBI installed over 18,000m2 of Flexipave in a major project in 2023.

This was part of a wider scheme to encourage more people to cycle in Scotland.

The Water of Leith Walkway is a pathway that opened in 2002 as a millennium project and was worn out in places.

The pathway that runs for 7km was no longer accessible for wheelchair and pushchair users. There was an attempt to refurbish the pathway with an alternative material which failed as a ‘bound’ product.

Flexipave provided an improved surface in a scheme which received excellent feedback
